The visitors are scheduled for a tour around the city of Sancti Spiritus.

The delegation is made up of the Commissioner for External Action Elsa Casas Cabello, Guillermina Hernández Martín; deputy chancellor of Emigration and Cooperation for America and Miguel Angel Machín, general director of that body.

The distinguished visitors are scheduled to meet with several Canarians who live in this Cuban province. They will meet with local governmental authorities as well.

The visitors’ agenda also includes a tour around Sancti Spiritus city that will take them to the Oscar Fernández Morera art gallery and to the local cultural center Casa de la Trova, among other interesting places.

Cuba and the Canary Islands share close links that have allowed the signing of several agreements.

Sancti Spiritus had previously welcomed visitors from this country in February and October this year.
