According to Alcides Orellana Artiz, member of the Provincial Secretariat of the Trade Union Confederation (CTC) in this province, commemorative activities are being celebrated in over 40 local communities and town where the people express their willingness to support the Cuban party, Fidel and Raul like they have done since the triumph of the Revolution.

Several other activities have been scheduled like the tribute being paid to late trade union leaders and to founders of the workers’ movement, among others.

Workers from the 18 trade unions present in this province will join the upcoming May Day parade which will mark the 120th anniversary of the working class’s international day.
