The visitors’ agenda included a visit to a health institution in this province’s capital city (Sancti Spiritus), where they also met with members of local grass roots organizations. They also participated in some voluntary activities in a market garden.

The members of the solidarity brigade also visited a mausoleum inaugurated in the northern city of Yaguajay last October 28 to commemorate Camilo Cienfuegos’s 50th death anniversary. This brigade was named after this Cuban hero.

The group was also scheduled to visit Ernesto Che Guevara mausoleum in the neighbouring city of Villa Clara.
