The daily added that those measures are also adopted in children of any age who suffer chronic diseases, such as asthma and diabetes. Those children with no associated biological risks are kept under treatment at home.

A total of 14,221 pregnant women and 75,000 children under one-year-old received the antiviral treatment in the Caribbean country in the last four months, noted Granma.
