Cuban Fair with Over 30 New Union Books
The publishing house of Cuban writers and artists, Union, will put on sale more than 30 new books at the upcoming International Book Fair 2010 on February 11-21.
Novelties will include the anthology of stories Mas sobre la Infidelidad (More about Infidelity), with 15 writers such as Anton Arrifat, Abel Prieto, Senel Paz and Alberto Garrandes, among others, Director of Union Publishing House Olga Marta Perez announced during a press conference on Wednesday.
This compilation (5,000 copies) is a follow-up to a previous one by the same title with female authors.
The 19th International Book fair is dedicated to Russia as guest of honor, and two anthologies of Russian stories for children by Leon Tolstoi and Alexander Pushkin are scheduled to circulate during the event.
A colloquium as a tribute to the centennials of the birthday of late Cuban writers Jose Lezama Lima, Dora Alonso and Angel Augier completes the program of the Union Publishing House.
The fair pays homage to National Prize laureates (2003) Reinaldo Gonzalez (Literature) and Maria del Carmen Barcia (Social Sciences).
