Ecuador: Rafael Correa Stresses Unity of Parliamentary Block
The members of the ruling Alianza Pais Movement at the Ecuadorian National Assembly continue their regular tasks Tuesday more united and strengthened, after debating pending laws with the Executive.
Correa made such announcement at the closing of a debate Monday at a hotel in Quito, by reiterating that the block is unified and tends to solve discrepancies through dialogue, seeking consensus.
This consensus, he said, will be put into practice for the drawing up of a Communication Law that regulates excesses of news authorities, and criticized the media reporting on divisions within the block.
The meeting between parliamentarians of the ruling block and members of the Executive Power responds to a democratic practice calling for debate amid the needed preparation of laws, Correa explained.
