Correa Denounces Foreign Destabilization Campaign
Ecuadorian President Rafael Correa has warned he has reports that certain opposition groups are receiving funds from abroad as part of a campaign to destabilize the government of the Citizen's Revolution.

"We have evidence that some groups are financed by foreign countries and we have evidence of the connections", assured Correa in an exclusive interview with El Ciudadano daily, in which he denounces those sectors have "permanent conspiracy eagerness".
According to the leader, the strategy of these groups, which do not win the elections but want to retain power, is not to face us at the polls as the democratic spirit would say, but to destabilize the country.
However, those attempts will bump into popular support that this country has counted on and has allowed it to defeat the opposition easily in six consecutive elections.
"The basis of our program was the new Constitution to bury neoliberalism, and there it is. Then, the attention to social sectors, and there it is; the rescue of strategic sectors and the recovery of our resources with a sovereignty strategy and there it is", he stated.
